Toontrack has recently introduced a new MIDI expansion for its EZkeys virtual instrument inspired by classic and modern funk.
Delivering smooth vibes, staccato-like rhythms and beautifully syncopated themes, Funk Riffs EZkeys MIDI includes 10 different “songs”, organized in intro, riffs, vamp, jams, outro and endings.
In funk, the riff is the absolute centerpiece and pivot around which everything else revolves. Frankly, a great riff can create the foundation for an entire song and, with a little creative imagination, spring out in all kinds of directions. In this pack, we explore this universe by providing a MIDI pack filled to the brim with riffs, along with a wealth of other freakishly funky tidbits you can use to embellish your songs.
Conveniently organized in folders labeled Intro, Riffs, Vamp, Jams, Outro and Endings, this EZkeys MIDI pack provides a comprehensive collection of song parts that you can change, rearrange and customize using the onboard MIDI editing tools in EZkeys. Inspired by the greats that laid the groundwork as well as all the ones that came after and cemented funk as mainstay well beyond its initial era, this pack is just as much for the classic as much as for the absolutely now-sounding funk.
