Tronsonic has announed the release of VCO, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
VCO features all of the waveforms from a 1972 minimoog with long natural cycles of up to 15 seconds before looping and also phase aligned at the start points of each sample. Like DCO, this was not sampled to tape. The aim was to achieve the closest possible replica of a classic hardware VCO synth within the DAW, so to keep the wave cycles in tact, only vintage tubes and a good convertor were used.
A custom made tape and tube impulse response (as used in Tronto and DCO) plus Kontakt 5’s tape saturation effect is used to bring in some richness and texture when needed.VCO is designed as a free companion to Tronto and DCO, and uses the same interface (so sharing the same controls) – great for stacking in multis and controlling externally via midi cc.
VCO comes with over 100 presets, for the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.0.3 or later.
VCO is available to owners of Tronto and DCO.
