UVI has announced the release of a groundbreaking emulation of the iconic LA-2A optical compressor, including stunningly accurate models of 7 different units.
Leveraging advanced techniques, UVi’s researchers were able to create their own innovative physical model, delivering unparalleled accuracy and faithful representation of these iconic compressors and the T4 optical cells within.
Opal includes models of seven units, borrowed from studios around the world, each offering a unique dynamic profile. In addition, users will find a slew of both handy and modern features including external sidechain, variable responsiveness, frequency response correction, tube drive, and more.
Opal for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) is available now, with a special introductory price of 59 USD/EUR through July 31st, 2023 (regular 99 USD/EUR).
