Waves Audio has announced a new function included in its smart resonance suppression plugin that is designed to improve any full mix, vocal, instrument or sample by removing problematic frequencies, fixing resonances and balancing inconsistencies.
Curves Equator Live features the same resonance suppression and frequency unmasking as the studio version, all in real time with zero latency.
Curves Equator Live offers smarter resonance suppression in real-time: Front-of-house and Monitor engineers can now achieve instant dynamic and tonal control across live vocals, instruments, master bus, and playback tracks, ensuring consistent sonic quality. Producers can record with pristine, mix-ready vocal sounds, enhancing both performance and production from the very first take.
Additional features include:
- Curve Freeze Feature: This feature freezes the plugin’s processing curve when audio falls below the threshold set by the Curve Freeze control. (This feature has also been added to Waves’ Silk Vocal Live plugin.)
- Platform Compatibility: Curves Equator Live now works with all live platforms, including eMotion LV1 Software Mixer, eMotion LV1 Classic, SuperRack SoundGrid, SuperRack Performer and Avid VENUE (SoundGrid Rack for VENUE).
- New “Solo” Toggle: Both the Studio and Live versions of Curves Equator now include a ‘solo’ toggle for the node display.
Curves Equator Live is available as a feature within the Curves Equator plugin, which is currently on sale for $39.99 USD (regular $79 USD). The plugin is also included in the Waves Mercury bundle, and it is part of the Waves Ultimate plugin subscription, which includes all 230+ Waves plugins as monthly or annual subscriptions.
Owners of the original Curves Equator can update in Waves Central to receive this new component for free.
