Wrongtools has announced the release of an inspiring piano library for Native Instruments Kontakt, featuring the sounds of a 1930 Bechstein grand piano, modified with a “putty-kit” for a muted flageolet (harmonics) kinda sound.
The recording session took about a week. Careful adjustments to the putty dashes was done to achieve the best-sounding harmonics across the dynamic layers and round-robins.
Then… over several months, the samples were polished, fine-cut and refined. Resulting in what we experience as a new kind of piano sound. Very inspiring, unusual and an absolute pleasure to play.
