KX77FREE has announced updates to its Kx-Modulad, Kx-Synth-x16, Kx-PolyMod, and Kx-PolyM-CSE free synthesizer instruments for Windows.

Kx-PolyM-CSE is a vintage modular polyphonic synthesizer with CV/GATE sequencer and CS70M emulation.

Changes in KX77FREE plug-ins

  • Kx-Modulad v3.0:
    • News: Filters, Ring modulator, Fx, Envelopes, SF2 player, Distortion, Lfos, Host synchronization…
    • Oversampling available for some filters, the ring modulator and the distortion.
    • Now the Lfos are band limited and use the oscillator waveforms.
    • Oscillator phase reset (Gate) available in all modes (Poly, Mono, Unison).
    • Midi controllers with aftertouch like the Kx-PolyMod.
    • Unison mode with portamento (up to 3 voices).
    • Polyphony setting (2 to 6 voices).
    • Improvement of the S/N ratio of the Vco2 synchronization.
    • Improvement of the SF2 large banks and waveforms loading.
    • Improvement of the Scope by setting its rate to 15 hz.
    • SSE2 SEM modules, less cpu use (up to 25% won following the preset) and size.
    • SSE2 KxWaveTracer.exe.
  • Kx-Synth-x16 v5.0:
    • New SSE2 sem modules (less of cpu use and size).
    • New filter more close of the original filter (based of BLT’s recordings) and SVF filters added.
    • Now the Sustain time is adjusted with the On parameter when the envelopes are looped.
    • Possibility to adjust the levels of all main generators with only one knob (vcos, ring modulator, noise).
    • Under Bar host synchronization (envelopes).
    • Only two outputs for the compatibility with jBridge and some hosts.
    • Improvement of oscillators: reset, synchronization and waveforms loading.
    • Improvement of ring modulator: new oversampling filter and now the equalizer is before the inputs.
    • Improvement of sequencer: files loading and host synchronization.
    • Internal changes for use common modules with the others plug-ins.
    • Internal presets modified.
  • Kx-PolyMod v1.57:
    • 6 new filters: SV (type R, more resonance) and Vcs3 (based of BLT’s recordings).
    • Update of Fx filters (Sv to Sv type R).
    • S/N ratio of the Vco1 synchronization improved.
    • Improvement of MgL filters with the MgLQ and MgLQd, they are oversampled x4 and can use more resonance level, they replace the MgL2 and MgLd. Also the new resonance curve of the Lo* filter (renamed Mg*and Mgd*) is very close of the one of MglQ (less cpu use).
    • Possibility to disable the reset of oscillators.
    • Improvement of Kxmod generators.
    • Minor internal changes.
    • Fixed bug: The delay line of the MgLd filter for the oversampling interpolation input was not boosted like the input signal.
  • Kx-PolyM-CSE v1.1d:
    • 6 new filters: SV (type R, more resonance) and Vcs3 (based of BLT’s recordings).
    • Improvement of Lo* and Hi* filters (renamed Mg* and Mgd*).
    • Update of Fx filters (Sv to Sv type R).
    • S/N ratio of the vcos synchronization improved.
    • Ring modulator: new oversampling filter (upper fc).
    • Possibility to disable the reset of oscillators.
    • Improvement of Kxmod generators.
    • Minor internal changes.
    • Fixed bug: An All Note Off Midi message is sending when the keyboard split limits are modified to avoid possible blocked notes during a program change.

A small collection of 64 unique stereo impulse responses made using a range of hardware reverbs in combination with a eurorack modular system.

All IRs are 24bit / 96kHz in .wav format.

The library is available for purchase for 9 EUR. Requires a convolution reverb plug-in.

Creative Impulses are now included with MM+ instrument. Previous customers of MM+ can get a free copy of impulse library.
