Another quality freeware release from DSK! The Luan and Guzhen came out particularly well, good job :)
Would love to hear more ethnic instruments such as oud, bagpipes, even a didge!

Hey, I need help! I have put my dll. into:
C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 7\Plugins\VST
The DSK Asian DreamZ.dll won’t fecking work in my FL studio 7 XXL. Everytime I open it like my other VSTs a warning/error window appears and says: ”External exception C000001D.”
Has anyone any suggestions? Thank you :D

Does this VSTI not work with fruity loops or what? I know how to install a dll. and get them applied in fruity loops 7…. but it just won’t work. Any ideas?

Hi Wael, I think it may be some kind of bug that happens with FL Studio versions before v8.x.

Does anyone know where there are any help files for these plugins? I haven’t been able to find any at all. There are certain actions in FL that do not work with them, like note bending.

Hi dudes,
I have FL 7 XXL producer edition and asian dreams works very well ! I just put the .dll file into the folder Plugins of FL. I don’t know what is the problem with yours.

Thanks! I tried it on REAPER v3 and minihost, and both worked. But I noticed that the order according to the host does not match the instrument displayed, after #3. Specifically:
1 = Pipa (OK)
2 = Pipa Tremelo (OK)
3 = Luan (OK)
x Guzhen
4 = Erhu
5 = Ban di
6 = Percussion
7 = (nothing)
That means I can’t access Guzhen (which is what I wanted — what an amazing instrument!), and 7 corresponds to nothing. I downloaded on 5/28/09. Please let me know if there’s a workaround, or when it is fixed. Many thanks!

Can I use the DSK Asian Dreamz plug-in with Finale 2008? If so, I really need some instructions on how to do that… I’ve already tried replacing the Asian Dreamz plug-in with the default plugin (synthgms.sf2), and it didn’t work.
I absolutely love composing Asian-themed pieces, so the help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. :)

@Caitlin, yes I think Finale 2008 can load VST instruments (like Asian DreamZ). The Finale manual should explain how to use these plug-ins in the software.
You could also try the SoundFont version (.sf2) here: http://rekkerd.org/dsk-soundfonts/
Good luck!
