The Forgotten Keys has released version 4.2d of the FK6 virtual CR-78 drum machine instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt.

The legendary Roland CompuRhythm CR-78 drum machine captured in all its glory. A virtual CR-78 for Kontakt. All the original preset rhythms and variations have been faithfully reproduced, and all sounds have been sampled at least eight times and at seven accent levels for more realism. There is even a virtual WS-1 programmer with six memory slots allowing you to program and store your own rhythms.

Changes in FK6 v4.2d

  • Improved: New, more realistic GUI.
  • Improved: PATCHES menu that can now included programmed rhythms.
  • Improved: More PATCHES have been included.
  • Improved: In program rhythm mode, the REST switch will now remove a previously input note at the current step.
  • Improved: Added mute controls for each sound.
  • Improved: Added output routing for each sound.
  • Improved: Added SAVE settings ability on SETUP tab.
  • Improved: Added delay when resetting note and output assignments to allow setting to be cancelled if button was pressed by mistake.
  • Improved: Various other minor tweaks and improvements made along the way.
  • Fixed: UI SOUNDS switch was always on even if the instrument was saved with it off.

FK6 for Kontakt is available to purchase for £6.50 GBP. The update is free to existing FK6 owners.
