Zerodebug launches d(- -)b modular DJ App for iPad

Zerodebug, formerly known as AppBC, makers of the popular touchAble app, has announced d(- -)b, the first Modular DJ App for iPad.

d(- -)b
d(- -)b delivers the full DJ experience on the iPad.

Made by the team behind touchAble, the popular controller app for Ableton Live, d(- -)b provides endless possibilities for DJs with an iPad. Its modular approach lets the app adapt to the user, not the other way around.

The comprehensive in app editor makes it simple to configure your very own DJ setup.
The numerous modules include everything a DJ needs, and allow for an incredible amount of flexibility and customization.

With beautiful color-coded waveforms instead of fake vinyl platters and accurate tools for both worlds of beat-matching: Grid & Sync or Pitch & Nudge – it opens the door to a whole new world of touchable DJing.

With support for Multi-Route Audio, d(- -)b turns the iPad into into a professional DJ setup – powerful, customizable, portable.

The touchAble controller app for Ableton Live was updated to v1.3, providing more than 30 new features.

touchAble

The app has been gaining a lot of attention since its release in september 2010 – giving Ableton Live Users an alternative to tedious MIDI Mapping and controller stacking. We have constantly improved touchAble with free updates that introduced new features and controls – and 1.3 is no different.

TouchAble 1.3 contains over 30 new features and changes, such as a loop and beatjump section, enabling anything from CDJ style mixes to creative loop manipulation, a completely rebuilt mixer that allows users to modularly choose the controls they need – complemented by the long awaited crossfader.
3 new native templates have been added: Auto Filter, Ping Pong Delay & the very first Instrument – Impulse – and are waiting to be tweaked. The new Settings Menu not only offers a cascade of new control-options – but also simplifies the connection process by adding Bonjour support.

Combined with its strong integration in Live, its six different modules (Clip grid, Mixer, Devices, Keys, Pads, XY Pad) and two command menus (Clip & Transport) touchAble 1.3 covers nearly every control element of Live’s session view.

touchAble for iPad is available to purchase for $24.99 USD.
