Loopmasters has announced the release of Voyage – Chilled Trip Hop & Electronica, a royalty free collection that aims to get your creative synapses firing and prepare you to carve out your own sonic landscapes.
With inspirations coming from Tycho, Radiohead and even Russian drum & bass professor Bop, this collection contains everything you’ll need to bring ambience and atmosphere to your arrangements, including vast synth loops, punchy drum breaks, expansive acoustic guitars, phat synth bass, immersive foley, rolling percussion, gorgeous vocals, pianos and much more!
Voyage uses a range of clever techniques to deliver a hazy, rich aesthetic. By carefully filtering out high frequencies and bringing them back using multiband compression, the audible spectrum has been given a gentle lo-fi essence that doesn’t detract from the high-quality nature of the sounds in question.
By processing the included drum sounds through a Sherman Filter Bank, a driven and well-rounded sound was achieved, providing punchy beats that will effortlessly cut through the mix. The guitars were run through a Sans Amp pedal and a Boss SP-303 with vinyl simulation on for a clear, full and driven sound. Authentic tape wobble was achieved by running the synths through a cassette desk, and the gorgeous foley inside was recorded near the coastline of Whitby, North Yorkshire.
