Flintpope has announced the release of FRED, a “Formant Related Entropic Devolver” for Native Instruments Reaktor 6.
The instrument is capable of acidic leads and basses as well as a weird array of soundscapes.
FRED is a pair of doubled up formant oscillators tuned as a bass and a lead that play against each other to produce a surprising range of tones, albeit with a distinct audio signature.
FRED is an interesting asset in your toolbox that has a USP, namely XY control over the oscillator pitches and tunings as well as XY control over a comb-filter and a reverb. This gives FRED the ability to change tonal settings in real-time while performing or recording.
FRED comes with 40 presets. It is available for purchase for £3.60 GBP with discount code mexdvs3 at the checkout.
