Circular Labs has released version 1.42 of Mobius, a program for the real-time creation and manipulation of audio loops.
There are no new features, but Circular Labs have been doing some work to support the Novation Launchpad. It isn’t finished yet, but if you have a Launchpad you can use it in much the same way as you can in Ableton Live to set level, pan, feedback, etc. Triggering loops and “clips” isn’t finished yet. Let them know if you’re interested in testing this as they plan to expand support over the next few releases and are interested in what you would like to do with the Launchpad.
Changes in Mobius v1.4.2
- Crash in REAPER when closing the VST edit window.
- Occasional crash in Global Reset.
- Ending a Multiply with Sync=Out sometimes jumps to the start of the second cycle rather than beginning of the loop.
Mobius is available as freeware for Windows PC and Mac OS X.
