BTE Audio has released AEQ2, American Console Equalizer Algorithm, a high performance digital equalization algorithm that simulates the sound and feel of the world-renowned American Mixing Consoles of the late 1960s.
With their symmetrical curves and smooth proportional Q characteristics, the secret ingredient of the legendary LA sound is the discrete channel equalizer modules designed in the late 1960s. The AEQ2 Algorithm accurately and efficiently simulates the latest version of these modules in the digital domain with its meticulously designed topology.

Although the AEQ2 algorithm is available in a VST plug-in, it is not targeted towards end-users. It will enable third-parties to incorporate the highly revered American EQ sound into their products.
