Ableton & Minus have released a collection of ten free Ableton Live Sets.
The Live Sets were made exclusively for Ableton by ten artists from the Minus roster. Each Set comes with a companion Lesson that reveals insights into the artist’s musical vision and offers valuable production tips.
Includes material from: Click Box, Hobo, Heartthrob & Troy Pierce, Magda, Marc Houle, Fabrizio Maurizi, Barem, Ambivalent, JPLS and Gaiser.
This Live Pack requires Live 8.1.3 or higher. To install the Pack, download it, unzip it and double-click the .alp file. You’ll then be asked where to save the contents of the Pack.
Note: This Live Pack will work in Live Intro or Live Lite, but the Sets will be read-only.
Ableton has also announced a Summer Music Challenge, a competition with prizes from Ableton, Novation, Loopmasters and Soundcloud.
Join other creative young people around the world and take the Ableton Summer Music Challenge. Create a track, send it and share it to win great prizes from Ableton, Novation, Loopmasters and Soundcloud for you and your school.
This competition is open to students in two age groups: under 15 and 15-18. There is a grand prize winner and 24 runners-up in each age group.
Ableton has also recently added three more Soniccouture partner instruments for Ableton Live: Abstrakt Breaks 1, Abstrakt Breaks 2 and Tremors.
