Loomer has introduced an update to its Sequent step-sequenced modular multi-effect plugin for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Sequent 2 now includes a total of 11 individual effect units that can be wired up in practically limitless combinations, allowing you to create anything from subtle looper and reverbs devices, to generative patches and complex manglers.
Want variation? Each effect parameter has its own step sequencer, perfect for building interesting modulation motifs. Easily craft polyrhythmic sounds by individually setting the number of steps and speed for each effect.
Cut-up and rebuild audio in realtime. Use Sequent’s flexible looper to create anything from subtle loop variations, to micro-programmed glitches.
Changes in Sequent 2
- 4 additional effect units: an oversampled frequency shifter, a freezable reverb, an audio splitter, and an audio merger.

Available in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats and as standalone software, Sequent 2 is priced £50 GBP (+ VAT where applicable). The upgrade is free for customers who already own the original Sequent.
