Initial Audio has announced an update to its Dynamic Eq audio plugin, a parametric equalizer with multi-band compression features.
Version 1.0.3 removes openGL rendering and optimizes GUI redrawing performance. It also includes a fix for an issue where the VST3 plugin was not working in stereo under certain circumstances. The update also includes various stability fixes and optimizations.
Each band has a built in compressor, precise frequencies can be dynamically cut or boosted by setting the threshold. A level meter is available for each band with a marker showing the current threshold level. This gives a level of control over the frequencies in your mix that is not possible with a standard equaliser. This feature is very useful for de-essing or reducing resonant frequencies dynamically.
Dynamic Eq can be used as a standard equaliser for your day to day needs, when you need more control our transparent compression algorithm can be used to tame or boost specific frequencies.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX), Dynamic Eq is on sale for $29 USD at the Initial Audio store and from distributor ADSR Sounds (regular $69 USD). Until February 28th, 2023, the plugin is priced only $19 USD at Plugin Boutique as part of its 11th anniversary promotion.
