RJ Studios has announced the release of an ultra-low distortion peak limiter plugin with up to 12 channels of independent gain reduction.
Pristine Peaks IE is a streamlined version of the Pristine Peaks mastering limiter that has been optimized and expanded to support multi-channel surround and “immersive” audio applications.
Pristine Peaks IE can support up to 12 channels of audio for use on mono all the way up to 7.1.4 channel-based audio tracks and buses. Each channel can be level-trimmed +/-5dB pre-limiter while their peaks can be trimmed as well by as much as 10dB below the master Ceiling setting.
Channel Isolate and Bypass controls are also provided to allow channel monitoring and bus separations. Pristine Peaks IE uses a novel approach to dynamics control that produces a very “clean” sound that does not break up or distort even at high gain reduction amounts.
Instead of saturating or clipping waveform peaks, Pristine Peaks IE determines what needs to be done to control the peaks and applies that gain change to the entire waveform. This results in extremely low THD for a very “clean” sound.
