Mercuriall Audio Software has announced an update to its amp modeling plugin. With the release of Ampbox version 1.5.0, two new amplifier are available: Tweed Blues and Tweed Bass.
Additionally, the update comes with a new impulse response (IR) of the original spring reverb in the cabinet section, helping you capture the essence of vintage sound more accurately.
Both amplifiers are recreated with authentic electrical circuits, capturing every nuance of legendary guitar tones.
- Tweed Blues: This amplifier is inspired by the legendary 1995 Fender Blues Deluxe model. Its rich sound – ranging from crystal clear to crunchy – is perfect for blues, country, and heavy rock. The spring reverb, located between the pre-amplifier and power amplifier stages, adds extra character.
- Tweed Bass: Inspired by the classic Fender Bassman from 1959, this amp was initially designed for the Fender Precision Bass guitar. But it has become popular among guitarists seeking a clear sound with an incredible dynamic range. The Tweed Bass pairs perfectly with any pedals and is suitable for jazz, blues, and heavy rock. A switch has been added to the first amplification stage, allowing you to choose between 12AX7 and 12AY7 tubes for different sound characteristics.
For the next 7 days, all users can purchase the two new amplifiers for the price of one. Additionally, a 33% discount is offered on all other amplifiers, including the recently released 1987X-SG.
