Spitfire Audio has announced the release of Peter Gregson’s Igneous, an electric cello instrument library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Centred around a sophisticated virtual instrument recorded at 3 dynamic layers and 3 bowing positions with a host of “artisan” articulations, and many additional techniques, Spitfire believe they have encapsulated the very soul that is the searing talent of Electric Cellist, Peter Gregson. With a whole host of experimental techniques pumped through the most extraordinary signal paths, we feel the 7 month adventure that is Igenous is the perfect introduction into the inspiring, fiery and searing world of the electrified cello.
Deep sampled in three different bowing positions multiple dynamic, vibrato layers and playing styles. A host of experimental signal paths and additional techniques and phrases. Peter Gregson’s ‘Igneous’ has to be the most definitive and deeply sampled instrument of it’s type with the quality, verve and taste bar that sets Spitfire aside from it’s peers.
The library is available for the introductory price of £74 until October 1st, 2014 (RRP £99 GB).
