Jeremiah Pena has launched Photosynthesis Vol 2 – Mystic, an ambient cello library for Kontakt, aimed at film/game composers, producers, and musicians who need otherworldly pads and soundscapes, unique cello articulations, and creative instrument effects.
Mystic is derived from nearly 6 hours of cello recordings, processed and twisted into over 120 beautiful Kontakt instruments. Alongside the processed instruments are raw solo cello articulations. There’s no legato or staccato patch, but rather unique playing styles like artificial harmonics, harmonic tremolos, sustained ricochets, sul ponticello, harmonic glissandos, and more.
Mystic includes 127 Kontakt instruments and a 2.26GB library of samples in .wav format. It’s powered by the free Photosynthesis Engine, which allows extensive control over shaping the sounds, and is designed to make importing your own samples and creating your own instruments easy.
