Mountainroad DSP has announced a new plugin that is designed to make collaborating and sharing ideas in the studio easier than ever before.
Dubbed the “aux cord killer” AlpHorn features up to 100 simultaneous streams with state of the art lossless streaming through Wifi. The plugin is compatible with any device capable of using AirPlay.
Once you open AlpHorn in your DAW it will become discoverable on your network. On your mobile device simply select AlpHorn as your AirPlay device and start streaming.
AlpHorn gives you all the controls you need. Play, Pause, Next, Previous as well as volume can be controlled from your AlpHorn plugin. Additionally, you can mute and solo individual devices connected to your DAW. AlpHorn gives you the ability to name the plugin how it shows up on your network. If you work in a studio with multiple AlpHorn instances running at the same time, simply rename your AlpHorn instance so your clients can find your DAW on the network.
AlpHorn is available in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac, priced $60 USD.
