Ample Sound has introduced its new virtual instrument Ample China Dongxiao (ACDX), featuring the sounds of a Deep Blue Sea series G key Dongxiao (Linqiu Zhong Masterbuilt), a Chinese vertical end-blown flute made of bamboo.

Performed by Xiaokui Ding of the China National Traditional Orchestra, the instrument is built on Ample Sound’s latest development of the Woodwind Sample Engine, featuring 4.8 GB of samples, including head and body articulations, FX sounds, as well as a select collection of improvised licks.
