AudioThing has released an update to its sparkling filterbank delay Things – Bubbles, an unusual effect plugin aimed at experimental sound design.

Version 1.1 adds support for iOS and AAX Silicon, as well as some bug fixes.

You can use up to 10 band pass filters, represented by bubbles in the UI, with controllable resonance. Each band can have a dedicated delay with feedback. You can spread the cutoff, resonance, delay time, and delay feedback across each band to get very creative effects, from odd sounding echoes/reverbs to impossible sequences.

Changes in Things Bubbles v1.1

  • Fixed: Compatibility with macOS 10.11 and 10.12.
  • Fixed: Graphic issues on Linux.
  • Fixed: Bubbles colors not recalling properly when scrolling presets.
  • Fixed: Sync not working when changing tempo in the DAW.

Available for Windows, Mac and Linux in VST/VST3, AU, AAX, and CLAP plugin formats, Things – Bubbles is on sale for 9 USD/EUR until February 24th, 2023 (regular $19 USD). The iOS version is $2.99 USD at the App Store during the promotion (regular $4.99 USD).

The offer is available at the AudioThing store and from distributor Plugin Boutique.
