Blind Audio has announced the release its new Max for Live device Pro-800 Editor, a free software editor for the Pro-800 classic analog 8-voice polyphonic synthesizer from Behringer.
This is a basic editor that offers (nearly) complete control of the synth, all of the knobs and switches from the front panel are mapped, and I’ve also exposed some controls that were previously hidden in the menu (Osc range, velocity, filter aftertouch, unison detune & extra LFO Shapes).
I also wanted to expose the new envelope shapes but discovered that only 3 of them are addressable via CC. So I left them out rather than implementing them half-baked. Maybe this is a bug in synth firmware, or maybe I missed something. If it’s possible I’ll include it in an update.
