MNTRA Instruments has announced the release of its first effect plugin, designed as a new take on reverb with its unique approach.
An “animistic performance reverb”, Borealis stands apart from conventional reverbs by dynamically responding to your playing, fostering an inspiring dialogue between input and output.
Inspired by the boundary-pushing world of guitar pedals and Eurorack effects, BOREALIS offers a wide variety of inspiring time-based effects through its 14 algorithms, including multi-dimensional convolution reverbs sampled in epic and unusual spaces from a lush church to the inside of a piano, shimmering reactive algorithmic reverbs that go to infinity, and vintage modulated delay networks.
At the heart of BOREALIS is its nonlinear control system. Influenced by video game audio engines and the natural world, this system allows you to perform a vast ecosystem of parameters dynamically – controlled by your input signal, a deep modulation network, and the 3 control axes.
Available for Windows and Mac in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats, Borealis is on sale for the intro price of $59 USD (regular $99 USD). A rent-to-own option is $4.95 USD/month at Plugin Boutique. The offer expires August 6th, 2024.
