Boz Digital Labs has launched a new hybrid clipper/limiter effect plugin featuring 4 blending modes and frequency sensitivity control.
Subtle clipping or heavy overdrive, Big Clipper allows you to push it hard without breaking apart.
I decided to make this plugin in order to fix my biggest issue with clipping plugins: their tendency to sound pretty gross when pushed too hard. Considering how easy it is for most clipping plugins to do that, I decided that Big Clipper needed to sound great regardless of how hard you push it.
Big Clipper features
- Combines clipping and limiting, with crossover, blend, and serial modes, each of which has its own character and style.
- Allows for both hard and soft clipping, going from a smooth sound to a biting distortion.
- Allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the plugin differently at different frequencies, giving you more flexibility and transparency if needed.
- Works in Stereo, Mid/Side, Mid Only and Side Only Modes, allowing you to process different parts of your signal separately.
Big Clipper for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX) is available from Boz Digital Labs and distributor Plugin Boutique at the intro price of $29 USD (regular $149 USD) until April 20th, 2018.
