CB Sounddesign has announced the release of a collection of Kontakt instrument libraries based on the traditional Japanese instrument “Taishogoto”, also known as the “Nagoya Harp”. The version recorded for this Kontakt instrument is the electric version of a red soprano Taishogoto made in Japan in the early 1990s.
Versatile and suitable for a wide range of musical genres, including ambient soundscapes, film scores and lofi compositions, the Electric Taishogoto libraries offer a range of sounds that can add depth and texture to your music.
Offering a unique combination of traditional and experimental sounds for a wide range of musical applications, the instrument features meticulously sampled recordings of the DI signal with up to four velocity layers and three round robins for both up and down plucked notes, providing nuanced and expressive playability. There are also two different velocities for keystrokes. The dusty old character of the Taishogoto has been captured in all its quirks.
The raw recordings have been processed with a selection of vintage, loft and boutique gear to give the instrument a distinctive character.
Available for the full version of Kontakt 6.8 or higher, the complete bundle of libraries is on sale for the intro price of 25 EUR (regular 35 EUR), while single volumes are on sale for 10 EUR each at Loot Audio for a limited time (regular 15 EUR each).
