Cherry Audio has announced some new modules for its Voltage Modular software modular synthesizer.
The new ESP-20 Processor ($10 USD), now part of the MS Vintage Bundle, recreates the slightly bizarre and endlessly useful External Signal Processor section of the classic MS-20 synthesizer.
Includes low cut filter, high cut filter, gate and trigger outputs with a threshold setting, and an envelope follower.
The star of the show is the frequency to voltage converter, which analyzes incoming audio and generates matching voltages for controlling oscillator pitch and envelope amplitude. This lets you “play” Voltage Modular by singing, playing guitar, or any other monophonic signal source.
Existing owners of the MS Vintage Bundle will find this new module free in their library.
The new Hex Phaser ($15 USD) could be the most flexible stereo phaser ever created for a modular synthesizer.
Everything is adjustable, including the number of active stages and the stage at which feedback is introduced. Rate, depth, bandwidth, and feedback amount are fully modulatable.
The Stereo Offset control changes the phase relationship between the left right channel LFOs. External LFO can be used in place of Hex Phaser’s LFO. The tonal variations are endless.
The new Mini Modules Bundle ($40 USD) from Benard includes 16 modules covering all basic modular synthesis needs in a very small space.
The ability to view an entire patch at once keeps things organized and manageable.
Includes three LFOs, an envelope generator with an integrated VCA, multi-mode filter, mixer, 16-step trigger sequencer, 8-step CV sequencer and much more. As a bonus, Mini Voltage Grid is included for manually sending trigger and CV values to other modules.
Cherry Audio has announced version 1.3.14 of its Voltage Modular software modular synthesizer. Plug-in Host and Mini Plug-in Host modules now load multiple embedded plug-in files, which means that Waves plugins are now supported. Current Zoom setting is now remembered from session to session.
The Module Designer has been updated with new turn off tool tip preferences, set polyphony in test app, compile source code with Unicode characters embedded and other minor fixes.
