Cool WAV has announced an update to its analog console emulation Simple Console.

Version 1.1 comes with a new GUI and an adjustment to the slider control for the filters. It now moves by 1hz at a time instead of 0.1hz.

Simple Console has some of the features found in an Analog Console. This is a great plugin to use on the first insert of every track on your mix, except for the Master. Add some Drive (Preamp Saturation) for each track to bring warmth and glue. Cut the low/high frequencies of your melodies using the Filters. Gain stage with the Input/Output knobs.

Simple Console features

  • Filters: High-pass filter (20.0hz – 300.0hz) and low-pass filter (6.0khz to 20.0khz).
  • Input: Pre-gain before saturation circuit (-10db to 10db range, stepped by 1db).
  • Drive: Adds saturation (0 to 100%). Going past 85% it gets really intense.
  • Output: Post-gain after saturation circuit (-10 to 0db range, stepped by 1db).

Available in VST3 format for Windows, Simple Console is a “pay what you like” download. A user manual is included.
