Soundspear has introduced a free and open-source integrated development environment to create, debug and test your own audio effects.
The effects are made using the C programming language within Formula, which runs either as a plugin in VST3 and AU formats, or as standalone software for Windows and Mac.
Additionally, a Formula Cloud subscription offers musicians and sound engineers the possibility to access effects made by the Formula community.
With a starting catalog of 50+ effects, Soundspear commits to create and add studio effects on a regular basis. Every new Soundspear plugin will also be available on Formula Cloud.
Subscriptions are available at an introductory discount until July 15th, 2022. Private licensing of Formula is available for companies.
