Cytomic has updated its The Glue compressor and The Drop filter effect plug-ins for Windows and Mac.
The Glue is an analog modeled compressor plug-in based on The classic 80’s British big console buss compressor with some additional features. It uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulation packages but optimised for real time use. It’s quick and easy to use and has an uncluttered interface.
Changes in The Glue v1.2.7
- New: preset menu now contains a list of available presets sorted by categories.
- New: optional dc blocking in the main signal path.
- New: updated to latest Juce framework for greater compatibility.
- Fixed: bug in oversampling that could cause silence or crashes under certain conditions.
The Drop filter effect was updated to version 0.9.16 (public beta).
It uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulation packages but optimised for real time use. There is a huge level of detail in the models, which gives them amazing drive and tone, but also takes a large chunk of your CPU. As well as the full circuit models more efficient algorithms will be included for situations where CPU considerations are more important than tone, but even these models are of the highest quality.
Changes in The Drop v0.9.16
- New: preset menu now contains a list of available presets sorted by categories.
- New: filters are now “warmed up” to prevent clicks when switching circuits.
- Fixed: bug in oversampling that could cause silence or crashes under certain conditions.
The Glue and The Drop are available to purchase for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS) for $99 USD each.
