D16 Group has released an updated version of its software bassline synthesizer instrument, which comes with an entirely re-designed emulation engine.

Phoscyon 2 is designed to be the definitive 303 emulation with a new super-convenient sequencer to immediately and arpeggiator to get your creative juices flowing.

Emulation of the legendary 303 “silver box” has been taken to entirely new heights. We took the critically acclaimed and successful Phoscyon 1 and completely re-designed the signal path. Now, we’ve achieved an unprecedented level of emulation accuracy, resulting in this new incarnation of the plug-in.

Phoscyon 2 lets you replicate the distinctive character of the 303 with Calibration Parameters, including controls for service trim pots and some tweaks even owners of original the silver box couldn’t have dreamt of. It comes with a vibrato effect, a distortion with 19 distinctive-sounding models, and insert effects which can be reordered, including an algorithmic reverb, 4-band parametric EQ, delay, chorus, and limiter with compression characteristics.

The plugin features a re-designed sequencer/arpeggiator, new randomizer, live override, drag-and-drop export, various trigger modes, over 800 presets and patterns, a resizable GUI and MIDI learn for nearly all controls.

Available in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac, Phoscyon 2 is on sale for the intro price of 89 USD/EUR at Plugin Boutique and from the D16 Group store until September 19th, 2022.

Owners of the original Phoscyon can get an additional discount, and users can try Phoscyon 2 with a 30-day free trial.
