Daniel Pompougnac has released Ombres, a free 2D mixer VST plug-in.
Features
- 16 tracks stereo : move your tracks as you want
- Skin window allows you to change the numbers with your own images (instruments, etc.. in BMP or PNG format, with transparency)
- Grid and other features
- Master left and right controls
The idea is to connect the numbers and you’ll get a mix that sounds like your walking around in a concert hall.
Maybe someone who tried this plug-in can confirm, but I think it’s actually just a matter of moving the tracks/instruments in a 2D space and the track sources will be mixed accordingly.
