Krotos has announced Dehumaniser Simple Monsters, a new, compact version of the renowned Dehumaniser II technology workflow with six exciting parameters and two unique interfaces – meaning sound designers can work in the set-up that’s best for them.
Since the launch of Dehumaniser II, customers have been asking for a simplified version of the technology, and Krotos is happy to be releasing Dehumaniser Simple Monsters as an answer. Perfect for audio professionals, students, or anyone looking for advanced sound design at great value, this versatile tool makes a strong addition to any post-production project.
Taking a step back from complex interfaces, Simple Monsters brings sound design back to basics, letting designers mould creature audio from visual parameters and traits. With five adjustable characteristics, and a sample scrubbing element, designing the perfect voice is easier than ever.
Not all sound designers work the same or have the same preferred style. The Bar Slider configuration allows users to edit each parameter in an easy-to-use meter format. The XY Pads allow for two characteristics to be dynamically assigned, letting designers see how changes in one parameter affect another. In addition, TouchOSC integration for iOS now lets users easily and quickly adjust the output wirelessly from an iOS device, freeing designers from the tether of sound boards and computers. This is great for a variety of applications, including live adjustments during a recording session without leaving the booth, or even changing effects on the fly in live theatre or Halloween/Scare productions.
