DSPplug has announced the release of its new Dancemaster effect plugin, a compressor that is especially designed to act like both a compressor and a de-esser.
Like the name suggests, the dance-master is a drum in the case of most Native American peoples. The dance master is actually quite ideal for replacing the dead-pan “dry drum” effect made famous by Ringo Starr and coveted by the Beatles.
Use any drum footage or sample and have a close facsimile of that money making effect with ease. The dancemaster compressor is also quite ideal for bringing the raspiness or harshness of a track down while also ensuring a natural, straightforward sound.
