Ewan Bristow has released a free audio plugin inspired by the paulstretch extreme time stretching software. EB-Diøne lets you creatively manipulate sound through spectral resynthesis.
Inspired by Paulstretch, this sampler can create absolutely mental neuro bass sounds, or lush pads. Made entirely in Plugdata, this is my favourite project to-date.
The plugin comes with controls for sample loading and manipulation, spectral shaping, and gating and filtering. A built-in recorder lets you capture your sound manipulations, and you can play, loop, reverse, and control the playback speed of your processed audio.
Other features include OTT compression, live mode and MIDI control, and tape emulation for adding vintage character with noise, distortion, and warble.
EB-Diøne is available for Plugdata 0.9.1, which is also free and runs in Windows, Mac and Linux with support for VST3, AU, CLAP and LV2 plugin formats.
