Piotr ‘Habib’ Pyrzanowski has updated Extremist, a VST plugin for guitars, to version 1.1.
New in v1.1
- added “Pre HPF” filter, for low frequencies reduction in source signal
- removed bug which caused loosing custom parameters setup
- minor oversampling updates
- improved compatibility with various VST hosts

I just made a superb happy hardcore sound using this by tweaking the black metal preset. It’s that nasty clonking sound that you hear played above the bass in some songs. I have yet to try the plugin with guitar, but it also has presets for thrash and death metal.
