Fabrizio Poce has announced an update to the popular J74 series Max for Live device SliceShuffler, bringing various improvements to the audio slice sequencer.
Version 1.1 of the device can now capture and loop audio at the input stage, do flexible internal I/O routing, and export results directly to audio files and loops.
This makes possible not only use of the device as an insert effect (what it was meant to be as of version 1.0, with its on-the-fly slice re-sequencing and smash-up), but now can also act as a sample mangler, phrase-looper and mixing/transition device. Things which were not possible five years ago and now are, due to the underlying advancements in the Max and Ableton Live integration and the device updated engine.
A free update for existing users, J74 SliceShuffler is available to purchase for 14 EUR.
