Loopmasters has released a new sample pack that steps into the time-honored melodies of yesteryear with the sounds of an old 1840s French violin, a modern English 5-string violin, and a modern English viola hand-crafted by Ben Weedon in his workshop.
A collection of strings intertwined to weave a tapestry of heartfelt melodies and rustic charm, Folk Fiddle is ready to bring your compositions to life.
Performed by Ben Weedon with production and recording being done by Michael Tedstone, Folk Fiddle includes a selection of clean and ornamented string phrases from English, Irish and, Scottish folk tunes. It also features a set of chords and riffs to accompany these tunes and useful notes and harmony phrases to complement them.
The pack provides a large range of lengths from short, muted notes to full melody phrases and sustained tones. Picked patterns and some extra bowed instruments such as a balalaika have also been included for more wild and messy sound effects.
Priced £29.95 GBP, the sample pack contains 6 song kits with over 450 loops and samples.
