Ableton has introduced a new sound library that is designed to capture the distinct textures and tones of post-rock.

Created by our friends of ModeAudio, the Post-Rock pack aims to be a “creative bridge between the electronic and acoustic or instrumental worlds”. It comes with a rich palette of multisampled guitars and drums, tweakable synth presets, texture loops and field recordings, drum, guitar and bass loops, a wide range of audio effect racks, and a set of modeled guitars.

The post-rock genre combines the basic building-blocks of traditional rock – two guitars, a bass, and drums – with a more experimental approach to song structure and sound design, and an emphasis on instrumentals over vocals. Borrowing from a wide range of genres, including ambient, electronica, krautrock, dub and even jazz, post-rock found a mass following with the popularity of bands like Mogwai, Sigur Rós and Slint.

Available for Live 11 Intro and higher, the pack is currently on sale for 39 USD/EUR at the Ableton store (regular 49 USD/EUR).

But hey, how about getting it for free?! For a chance to win, just leave a comment below and maybe you can tell us what’s your favorite post-rock subgenre as well.

We’ll pick three (3) lucky winners from all entries submitted before December 22nd, 2022, 11.59pm CET. Good luck!
