The latest release in a series of unique Kontakt instruments from Norway-based boutique sample library company Wrong Tools brings a collection of bowed guitar textures layered with looper pedals.

Northwest Passage is a reflective sample library that invites composers to experience the ocean’s vast beauty through the medium of electric guitars.

The patches were created with violin bow on the strings. Creatively layered with freeze and looper pedals, before recorded through amps. It’s a tribute to the ocean’s vast narrative, encapsulating its depth, mystery, and perpetual motion through a tapestry of cinematic guitar tones and textures.

Available for the full version of Kontakt 6.4.2 or higher, the library contains a total of 88 patches with everything from lush atmospheres and rhythmic pulses to captivating harmonics, and ethereal soundscapes.

Regularly priced 59 EUR, Wrong Tools is kindly offering a free copy of Northwest Passage for this giveaway contest. Leave a comment below for a chance to win, and we’ll pick the winner at random from all entries submitted before the end of this Sunday, April 7th, 2024, 11.59pm (CET).
