Gowler Music has just launched a new sample pack titled Silent Age, a royalty free collection of 165 samples inspired by classical music.
This pack includes loops of mallets, timpani, and synthesized orchestral sounds. It also features vintage dialogue (old school discussions on classical music), short pieces inspired by 20th century classical music (the weird atonal stuff), classical tape loops created using the pitch control and tape speed functions of a vintage Tascam Portastudio 424, public domain recordings of classical pieces that have been chopped and resampled, and Switched-On Beethoven loops, inspired by the early work of Wendy Carlos.
Also available is Time, a batch of 137 music samples that focus on the concept of time.
We’ve used a number of instruments, vintage sounds from video cassettes and Max MSP devices to create an eclectic mix of soundscapes, loops and sound effects for your musical needs.
The sample packs are available for purchase for £1 GBP each.
