IK Multimedia has launched a Krazy Deal on its T-RackS Precision Comp/Limiter, offering 60% off on the legendary British dynamics processor.
The Precision Comp/Limiter is modeled after a legendary British piece of hardware that features a Class A design with a “diode bridge” for compression and was known for its rich sound from the use of discrete components and custom-wound output transformers. Originally produced in the ‘70’s as an evolution of the previous 2254 model, it quickly became a much sought after unit for many audio applications, including music recording/mixing, mastering, post-production and broadcasting.
While many engineers will use this on their stereo bus, the flexibility of the separate compressor and a limiter sections allows for some very interesting results. Use it to “glue” an entire mix together or get creative and use the sections on individual instruments.
