ILIO and sound designers Reverb Machine and MIDIhead have announced a new collection of patches for Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2.
The brand-new Waverunner library is a melding of ’80s and early ’90s-inspired analog synth sounds, brought to new life with a decidedly modern feel. Influences from Stranger Things, The Weeknd, Depeche Mode, The Midnight, FM-84, HOME, Hotel Pools, Voyage, Memorex Memories, and many more are ready-made to inspire.
Waverunner is equipped with cinematic arps/BPM, rich pads, leads, basses, plucks, and a large assortment of poly synth patches recalling vintage analog synthesizers of the 80s and 90s. Just like a vintage synthesizer, the sounds of Waverunner can transcend genres and lend themselves to a wide variety of compositional applications. While well-suited for electronic film scoring, Waverunner truly shines where foreground classic synthesizers are a must, such as LoFi, Synthwave, Retrowave, Downtempo and Chillwave, Vaporwave, Dream Pop, Synth Pop, Darkwave, Future Electro, and Cyberpunk.
Each patch in Waverunner is programmed with special attention to fit like a glove in the mix. And with 119 patches included, Waverunner will provide enough inspirational flow to keep its users riding that creative wave for hours.
Waverunner for Omnisphere 2.8 or higher is available for purchase for $39 USD at the ILIO store.
