Andrew Aversa of Impact Soundworks has published a few video demonstrations which compare the Shreddage series of virtual guitar instruments for various playing styles.
For “chugs and low rhythm”, Andrew takes a look at the clean, cruncy, and high gain sounds Impact Soundworks’ 7- and 8-string guitars Jupiter, Rogue, Serpent, Legacy, and Hydra.
The “wide rhythm and arp playing” demonstration includes the Archtop, Stratus, and newly released Telos as well.
A third video brings a shootout between all Shreddage 3 guitars to see how their tone differs when playing a lead part.
The Shreddage 3 series instruments are available for Native Instruments Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player.
