Kilohearts has announced the release of a new powerful waveshaping effect plugin.
Shaper Table takes the waveshaper concept to exciting new dimensions by allowing you to use a wavetable as the source and scan through various shapes to create unique, evolving sonic variations.
Shaper Table expands on the concept and lets you use a table of data (like maybe a wavetable you have lying around) for the shape remapping. That way you can scroll through the frames of the table and get a distortion effect that morphs over time. Pretty nifty.
We’ve included a big number of cool tables specifically for this purpose, but you are also free to create your own with our table editor. So let your imagination run wild and create the gnarliest distortion sweeps known to man!
Regularly priced $39 USD, Shaper Table for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX) is on sale for $19.50 USD until March 24th, 2024. The plugin is also available to Kilohearts Subscribers at no extra cost.
Additionally, Kilohearts has added the Shaper waveshaper plugin to its Kilohearts Essentials collection, available at no cost to anyone with a Kilohearts account. It takes each sample in your audio and remaps it to a new value based on a custom curve. This can result in anything from subtle saturation to total annihilation of your signal, and everything in between.
