Looptone has recently released The Boiler – Dub Tech House, a 1.46 GB sample pack featuring over 680 dubbed-out sounds.
This mesmerising collection of stripped-back tech grooves fuses crisp tops with fat bottoms to light a fire under your hybrid house tracks. Throbbing analogue-style basslines underpin pulsing tech synths, fat chord stabs and uplifting hypnotic keys, and it’s all held together by chunky four-to-the-floor kicks, powerful drums, crisp hi-hats and tops, and pulsing almost-tribal percussion loops. For an extra level of authentic grit, there’s even a set of vinyl crackle loops.
Aimed at tech and dub house producers, these samples will also slot effortlessly into other subgenres of house and techno. They’re inspired by labels such as Dirty Bird, Viva, Drumcode and Defected, and artists including Guy J, Maceo Plex, Plastikman and Harry Romano, to name but a few.
The pack comprises 382 loops (at 125bpm) and 300 one-shots, and covers all bases, from tight tribal drums and room-shaking bass, to evolving FX and techy synths. It’s rounded off with 15 sampler patches and 6 Song Starter kits built on 54 loops – plenty to get the creative juices flowing. Source instrumentation includes the Moog Phatty, Korg MS20 and the Virus Ti synths, all recorded using prestigious outboard by SSL, Avalon and Manley, and various UAD Plugins.
The sample pack is available for purchase from Loopmasters for £29.95 GBP.
