Modalics has announced some major updates to its plugins, bringing new features, bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

The latest version of MINDst Drums adds 8 new reverb types with 4 rooms and 4 plates (long variations), a “Choke” parameter to control the choke time of all cymbales and toms, and new presets in the “Artists” category.

The update also fixes issues with reverb compatibility at different sampling rates and a an issue where some duplicate articulations in the MAP weren’t playing. It also improves performance during sample playback.

A new sampling engine for Beat Scholar significantly improves sound quality across the board for built-in and imported samples.

Beat Scholar now supports import of more sample formats (WAV, OGG, FLAC, AIFF and MP3), and double-click in MIDI mapping mode now lets you type in the notes instead of dragging up/down. CPU performance has been improved.

The EON-Arp update comes with a redesigned synth section in the MIDI-only AU version of the plugin, and a fully free trial is now available to try the versatile polyrhythmic arpeggiator.

All plugins now also have a fine tuning mode for all parameters (shift+drag knobs and sliders).

The updates are free for owners of respective plugins. New users can take advantage of a Holiday Sale to purchase products at a discounted priced until December 31st, 2023.
