Noisebud has announced an update to its “Sub-bas Black Box” effect plugin. Version 2.50 of SubBB comes with a newly added Shape2 function, which is a unique compressor that utilizes a waveshaping algorithm to provide precise control over the waveform.
SubBB, or Sub-bas Black Box, is a sub-frequency toolbox that makes controlling sub-frequencies while mastering a breeze. Use it to gently manage the sub’s dynamics or add a ridiculous amount of bass that still works.
Changes in SubBB v2.50
- Updated the GUI with readouts for different controls.
- Attenuated artifacts further, they’re now pushed below -100 dBFS.
- Added a new module called Shape2. A waveshaper set up as an extreme compressor.
- Added a new meter around the Dry Hipass knob that shows when the dry signal is used when using the dynamic section.
- Changed the frequencies and rebuilt the Wet Hipass from scratch
- Controls that are not in use when Dynamics is set to off now have a red cross when not in use.
Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats, SubBB is priced $30 USD. The plugin is also available to Noisebud patrons.
