Patchpool has announced 2nd Thoughts for Zebra, an upcoming soundset for the Zebra synthesizer instrument by u-he.
For years I wanted to create another soundset for Zebra, as the patchpool journey started with somee Kontakt patches and a soundbank for Zebra. Now is the time to do it! 2nd Thoughts will contain approximately 80 fresh patches for the legendary Zebra synthesizer. Since my first soundset for it, I gathered even more experience and knowledge about synth programming, sound design and sonic art in general, all of this shall accumulate in this new set.
This collection includes rich animated textures, drones and pads, often tempo-synced, expressive leads, plucks and bass sounds, beautiful tonal and haunting atonal soundscapes, experimental noises and physically modeled fantasy instruments. Many of the oscillator waveforms will be created in Zebra’s own wavetable editor and many patches will have up to four x/y-Macros assigned. All patches will make use of the modulation wheel and sometimes aftertouch.
The soundset is available for pre-order for 20 EUR (regular 25 EUR). The release is planned for late October, 2015.
